I agree with you both. My degree in Education happens to be irrelevant to loan signing, except for the graduate level course in "Discipline" for children, perhaps. (Some of the stuff I learned there has come in pretty handy when dealing with borrowers, schedulers, etc...)
More relevant, of course, are all the years of experience and acquired knowledge, but I think Di handled it perfectly, connecting with what matters to him. And just because he's highly educated in one area doesn't mean he's an expert at everything else. [I wonder if he would say the same thing to a plumber...] |
