When life feeds you lemons make lemonade. It's time to get a good sense of humor as we are all swirling down the drain. I am personally grateful for all the years I had. The career left me a place not to have daycare and make enough money to raise my son as a single mom with no outside help or support. It also provided me with enough money for a down payment to buy my house and get out of the rental world. I have no animosity towards any of what it has to hold. Like everything in life, and much bigger bananas than us, it's our time to end. Think of the demise of the circus, Sears and Robuck, the 8-track tape...we are right there too. We have to accept it and move on. What I don't understand is if it didn't hold a value, or serve a purpose for you, why be in the gig so many years? That is on you and nobody else. We all have our reasons for staying or leaving. Be humble, be grateful and ook for the next better thing in life or relax and retire. |
