Re: LD...did you read the initial post?

Absolutely I read it! What notary is going to go back 2 years and fix something? Did they stamp? Did the notary sign? Truthfully not much WE can mess up on, and 99% sure it was the format of the document that is the problem. Not sure what you all do, but I make sure my portion is complete. I would have checked their ID's watched them sign, I would fill out and sign and date and it's done.

Most lenders want their own forms and not some generic form or will even accept any "one size fits all" from an attorney.
The judge will not grant a new POA but a judge can declare them mentally incompetent and then grant them the conservatory to handle the estate at this point.
I just had a GNW same thing 2 weeks ago I turned back. They had a lawyer POA and the lender wouldn't accept it and wanted a new "Lender specific" one and wanted me to go out and get their signed. Meanwhile, the person doesn't know what day it is, their name and laying in bed with severe dementia. They told me the 1st one gives me the right to get the 2nd one signed.
Nope. I do very little GNW for this reason and stick to loan closings.

Just my guess, and they need to find another path.
