Mac book pro HP laser jet printing problems for over two yea
Posted by Alwes - Richard on 4/9/19 4:36pm

Equipment / Software
Mac book Pro. Operating system is Mojave 10.14.3.
Network HP Enterprise printer HP Laser jet 600 which is a dual tray printer Using Apple print driver not HP print driver.
Abode Acrobat DC reader Latest version Free (this is the software that I have printing issues with.

Problem
When printing legal and letter page size pdf files the legal size pages fail to print correctly. Example assume the file is 50 pages long mostly letter size pages an about groups of legal size pages in the PDF file. All the letter size pages print correctly. The first legal page an all legal single pages throughout the document print correctly. The second an all other legal size pages have about a three inch top margin causing data on the bottom of the page to not be printed. Below is the selection made from acrobat reader DC printer drop down menu.

Abode does not offer printer support for the free Acrobat dc Reader. They do offer a abode community. I have tried that approach an I believe for my issue there is not a solution there. Hewlet Packard says printer is working as designed. Apple says Mac book is working as designed. I have had this issue for a couple of years.
Work Around
1. I can print correctly using boot Camp running windows 10 on the mac book to the same printer an network. Using Acrobat reader Windows version.
2. I can also print correctly using a windows based computer and Acrobat reader DC Windows version over the same network to the same HP LaserJet 600 printer.
3. I can print from the Mac Book pdf files by selecting only the legal pages
My only need is to print PDF files with mixed page sizes. I have tried to find soft ware that can print PDF file. Preview will not handle the legal pages correctly.

Summary all I need to do is print about ten PDF files per month. Abode Acrobat DC reader on the windows platform not the my apple IOS I do not create or edit pdf files.
