I think replying with the profitable fee you'd need sends a message. No, you likely won't get the job, but your high fee will make that closer notary's $125 look good. And it could also make them think a little more realistically instead of just clicking away as they will HAVE to spend time reading replies.
Also, I think that just replying helps your rating stay high. What I do not know is whether a high rating makes you show up higher on 'the list'. Anybody know about that?
I have--rarely--gotten the job at $200 & more...it does happen.
