 Notary in Singapore?!
Posted by Ben List on 9/16/20 6:31pm

Hello Notaries!

I'm in the process of selling my home in California but the problem is that California requires a notarized wet signature on the deed transfer.

Normally I would go to the US Consulate here and get that done. But because of this pandemic the US Consulate has stopped all notarial services for an undetermined amount of time.

Because the Recorder wants a wet signature I'm unable to use a Remote Online Notary.

Does anyone:
Best case: Know a US Notary in Singapore that is NOT in the Consulate which is closed
Middle case: Know if I can get my signature notarized by a Singapore Notary, then have it authenticated by the Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs? Will that be accepted by the local California authorities?

Thanks everyone! This is a real headache!
