My CPA doesn't care, it is accurate for our and IRS purposes. They can google the drive from my house to any closing and back anytime they like. Many times, I get lost looking for an address in the dark or rural with no address clearly labeled or I have to drive on a Saturday to find the UPS store or Fed Ex (not counted for). It works for me and my tax professional, maybe not for the turbo tax user though who has no representation.
He's never once asked me for my odometer reading, but then again my car is not a write-off, only the milage. If I ever get audited, he is insured and takes care of it for me.
