Two come to mind right away... A very large bag of juicy home grown lemons, which I happened to need for a dish I was planning to make. (That also led me to googling some new recipes.)

The best, though, was a very large cup of homemade chicken tortilla soup that was probably the best I've ever had. It was a cold evening appointment where I signed with the husband only and didn't meet the wife until we were done. She had no way of knowing that I'd had a very busy day and hadn't eaten since breakfast. She didn't ask if I wanted any, she just showed up with a very large disposable cup with lid and a spoon, and put it into my hands! I was stunned - and grateful - and later wished I'd asked for the recipe!! Smile

There's also been the random cash tip from time to time (always after the fact).
