RON is now about to be approved in 11 more states
Posted by  Cheryl Elliott on 1/20/20 8:00am

This is the lineup.

As of December 2019, here is an updated list of RON legislation in the United States.

Now available in: Virginia, Montana, Texas, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nevada, Minnesota, Utah, Michigan, Tennessee

Soon to be available in 2020: Florida, Ohio, Indiana, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Maryland, Washington, Kentucky, Idaho, Iowa, Arizona

I seriously doubt these states' lawmakers had all the information at their fingertips on why RON is not a good technology. It will be interesting to see how many states abolish RON down the road.

I'm very excited that out of all the states in the union, California has an individual like Matt Miller to fight this legislation approving RON in California. Perhaps other states will sit up and take notice that there are huge reasons why notaries don't want RON approved here, one of the largest states in the union with the greatest number of notaries.

If you haven't already made a donation to OPPOSE AB199, please do so soon so that Matt can keep up his valient efforts to oppose this electronic remote online notarization which threatens our NPPI and actually invites fraud.

Thank you, and I hope you all enjoy your day!
