I believe most RON authorizations require a 10-year records storage of videos and journals. The following excerpts from that blog caught my attention:
"Also, the digital media they reside on changes, too—from Digital Linear Tape to PATA hard drives to SATA hard drives to SSDs. If we do not actively tend our digital books they become unreadable very quickly."
And,
"Without active maintenance, we will be lucky if our digital books last a decade."
Again I ask ... What happens if the RON storage one selects goes out of business within the 10-year requirement? Or, new question ... What happens if the RON storage one selects (including a cloud) becomes obsolete/unreadable within the 10-year requirement?
