The problem is, RON transactions are taking place in CA every day. Just bc CA notaries can't perform RON's doesn't mean CA residents can't use the services of an out of state RON. And as of right now it's completely legal to do so. Companies like Amrock have all but completely moved to RON and only use a traditional as last resort and other title companies are following suit. So, CA Notaries are missing out and starting to feel the squeeze.
