We are forbidden by law from telling you what to charge. That's price-fixing and thoroughly illegal.
What we're trying to tell you are two things about Notary Signing Agent work:
You're not going to get a "Rush Fee". In the old days, signing services called on day 1, sent packages via FedEx / UPS, and we took the documents to be signed. The old days are not coming back. Today signing services FREQUENTLY call the day of the signing and we PRINT DOCS. If we are very lucky, people call the day before. Rarely, in 2019.
Investigate thoroughly before you accept any signing.
For General Notary Work:
You're never going to get rich. You have to obey YOUR STATE'S LAWS regarding fees. Period. (I don't know Texas law about Notary fees, and you'd better!)
If someone calls for General Notary Work and offers you substantially above the legal rate, there's a catch. |
