 Sadly, "Club" Tires Are Junk
Posted by  Scriba/NM on 4/22/18 5:40pm

I come from a tire building family and I have more than a nodding acquaintance with tires, materials used, construction, wear patterns, etc.

Club tires do not stand up, they wear quickly, and often times are irreparable if there is a road hazard due to their flimsy construction. Club tires (don't care about their hype) are inferior, manufactured to "club specs" and just don't don't stand up. Buy 'em again, and you'll have the same results. You should get 50,000 - 60,000 out of a set (except for club tires).

It takes a lot of shopping around to find (a) good tires, (b) a good warranty, (c) free rotation (d) free balancing, and (e) free alignment check (not free alignment unfortunately. By good tires I mean ones that can stand 117 - 120 degree heat (the road is a WAY hotter) and ones that can stand up instead of checking and cracking all over due to road heat and hi-lo temperature extremes.
