Scary moment today- got stuck in a high rise elevator with

the borrower. My worst nightmare, literally. I actually had a dream last night I was inside a crazy, malfunctioning elevator and it came true today. I knew it wasn't good when the borrower said one of the four elevators was down. She lived on the 19th floor and lo and behold the elevator we took suddenly stopped and got stuck around the 14th floor. I actually hate using elevators. They make me claustrophobic. Thank God she was with me, or I would have freaked out. She kept pushing buttons trying to get it to move. Nope. Nothing. I just about lost it when she said, "Guess we'll have to sign in here." My pulse went through the roof. Then a strange series of letters and numbers appeared on the screen that didn't even exist. You could feel it trying to budge between the floors, but it wasn't going anywhere. The doors wouldn't even open. Now I'm in a panic. It was as if we were in the Twilight Zone. I was like, "I wanna get off. Can we just walk up the rest of the way?" She tried to keep me calm and fidgeted with some more buttons. After a couple more minutes we start moving again. It seemed like an eternity to me. We got the the 19th floor and I was never so glad to see those doors open again. Even she thought it was odd and said it was like we had gone through a vortex. I told her she must escort me back down once we were done. The signing went well and there were no issues with the elevator after that. Boy was I glad to get out of there!
