I don't do "debt resolutions" in the first place, because we don't know which one's are legit. Also, many will not act as a "representative" of these cos. Try to remember that you're the only person they'll have physical contact with, and as a "representative" you could be liable if it's a scam. I'm not shocked that the law firm isn't going to do anything for you--they might not even pay you.
I hope Linda's advice helps you to get this situation taken care of. She worked as a paralegal for many years.
