 Something to replace my Quickbooks

I am looking for a recommendation to replace Quickbooks for accounting purpose. Quickbooks wants to charge $389 for their yearly subscription. I think that’s a lot to charge for my purpose.
I really wish I hadn’t wanted to update my desktop version 4 years ago. If I had known it was going to start being a yearly cost I never would have upgraded.
