I admit a professional photo may only tell half of what you are like (because you could still be an idiot) but at least Title/Escrow and/or the LO can SEE what you look like, making sure you APPEAR professional. Hear me out: Of course, if you have blue hair, metal in your face and tats up your neck, you could easily purchase a photo from istockphoto.com (a whole dollar) or ask your normal looking sister for a photo . My point is that a photo is not an assurance that you're normal, but could be a "reasonable" assurance that you at least LOOK "normal" and professional.
Perhaps LO's and Title/Escrow staff could consider asking for professional references but at month's end or just a plain old busy day would/could prevent that question -- no time for that!
I've said it before -- my photo which cost me a bit of $$ has made a real positive difference in my business. Swear!
