As it seems from your posts that you've had a very good relationship with them and have actually been to their office to pick up/drop off stuff. I think it's time for a reality check with them, in person. If you've been working with them for 10 years at the same fee, you've already 'dropped your fee' simply due to inflation! While your costs have done nothing but go up...again due to inflation. Actually, I'd go in to see them loaded for bear--and show them why you actually deserve a raise. (Are their employees still paid the same as they were 5, 10 years ago???) Stick to a logical, realistic assessment of FACTS. And stick to your fees.(I'd try for a raise~~) Point out that they won't get your proven capabilities for what they would 'like' to pay. I'd like to get the fees we got 25 years ago, when paper was $1/ream and edocs fees were $50. I know that's no longer viable, but somewhere between the 2, is truth.
My hard-won motto is: If you don't appreciate your time and experience, nobody else will. I live by that. |
