I can understand them including the payment on 2005's 1099, however,

I can't understand them blaming you for losing the check (the check probably never hit the mail), charging you 25 bucks to recut the check (the bank I deal with only charges me for a stop payment if the check actually hits the bank) or their unprofessional reply.
