There is a drop box where I deposited my four envelopes. There is a security guard at the door. Downstairs in the main lobby is an airport-like security scanner station. I set it off with my car alarm key. There is a sheriff posted in a lobby kiosk. Very few people present. The EDD has an office on the first floor, but does not receive guests.
I sprinted to my car and got the hell out of there as fast as I could. Even if I did have a supply of power bars with me, i would not be handing them out there.
It was worth the trip by having four apostiile requests. The next time I travel to LA will be EARLY MORNING.
Drivers do not respect there is a 65 MPH speed limit. I was pushed to 85 sometimes, but mostly, traffic is highly congested and lot of aggressive drivers. Not so much where I live. |
