Like most people, we don’t have enough tests. Up until yesterday, the state was encouraging voluntary quarantine. Denver and Boulder went on Stay-at-Home Orders last night. Surrounding suburbs are following suit. Tomorrow four metropolitan counties are implementing Stay-at-Home, which includes me, but for 2 weeks we have chosen to stay inside voluntarily. Schools have been closed since first part of month. Restaurants are take out. This week beauty shops, tat and nail shops required to shut down. Mom’s care center is private. Two weeks ago, they went on lockdown to all family or visitors. Staff entry has been a very stringent health process to enter. Today I received notification that all staff will be 24/7 to avoid becoming carriers and keeping center healthy. I’m sure their vigilance is probably because they are private and cost 3 times the cost of a state run facility. I applaud them for putting my mom and other residents above their own family. |
