we're tired, the pandemic isn't
My guideline for meeting people is "I know I'm okay...I don't know where you've been".
We had friends pass through from West Virginia - we invited them for a meal and spend the night (hindsight was "uh oh" but we soldiered on) - friends for over 25 years; that was two weeks ago and we're okay so we dodged a bullet - but they were on their way to a pageant their daughter was participating in in South Florida - we had extended the same invitation for their return trip but I got to talking to husband and told him "I'd love to have them but where have they been? What were the logistics there?" - we just didn't know and we were probably going to have to rescind our invite - however they saved us the trouble and bypassed us - headed further north to get home quicker. Thank God. Again, my thought was "where have you been and who were you with - or who were THEY with". |
