Hard to judge if the signer has completed his part; any mark can be a signature, but the signer didn't complete the full writing he intended to. No instructions on whether a notary should complete a certificate if the signer signs but dies before the certificate was filled out. If it general notary work, the notary didn't perform a complete notarial act, including the certificate, so isn't entitled to get paid for a notarial act. |
