Reach out to those companies you may be interested in working with -- mail, email, phone call, personal visit. The key is to YOU do your due diligence in research the companies PRIOR to reaching out and making yourself known. You want to avoid all those companies with bad/poor reputations.

Some companies have actual an application to register with them; some is just a matter of letting them know you're available. You don't know until you make contact.
