 That happened twice to an Escrow Officer I know...

I was surprised that she was no longer a notary, and she said it was because she got subpoenaed twice...both long grueling court experiences.

So far I have been lucky...knock on wood! But good to be extra cautious on a QC or GD...not to mention trust and estate planning docs. That's where it's most likely to happen.

Best of luck resolving this!

I wonder if there is a statute of limitations on how long they can subpoena you for a notarization? ...
