| My freind bought an apt in Italy. Before going into the closing she had to meet the seller in another room and hand over the rest of the money. Apparently what is stated on the paperwork is usually much less than what it "sold for" on paper. Some kind of tax or something. She said on paper, she paid half of what she really paid. |
