Actually... several months ago I was having severe hand cramps that were probably related to a medication I was on. My doctor had no solution to offer, so after doing some research, I found that soap can, in some cases, eliminate cramps.
Whenever my hand cramped up (and it was REALLY painful), all I had to do was hold a bar of soap, and the cramps went away within minutes. My doc didn't understand why it worked but admitted that all that mattered was that it did work.
