It's been a while, but years ago when they used to pay better, I did a number of these. This was almost always a battle, but at least here, I'm backed up by CA notary law that says we cannot notarize an incomplete document. I think these companies set up the process to get the borrower signatures (including notarizations) done before they decide (or assign) the info that needs to be filled in. It's 'bass-ackwards', if you ask me - and clearly devised without input from a notary!
I vaguely recall it having to do with requesting DMV title, possibly a POA, or something similar? I wish I could remember how we handled it. I think they may have given me a company name to fill in, but I'm not 100% sure. We somehow found a work-a-round, which means something got filled in there. |
