Thanks for sharing. I'm apt to comment (can't help myself) when conversing with extremely blurry, red eyed person! So far, no signing encounter with someone fitting that description.
Just yesterday a vendor requested I read their (short) ADA Guide for what To Say and NOT to say to persons appearing to have a disability. And recently I did gnw for a semi-paralyzed in-home patient with Lou Gehrig's disease, and addressed HIM directly (just like the guide said). Very difficult to understand him but fortunately his nurse aide and another assistant helped translate. |
