Unless a notary is exclusively doing RON signings, they're undoubtedly doing more driving than they would be otherwise, maybe even substantially more. That could mean higher premiums for auto insurance (not to mention different categories of insurance).
Whatever portion of our driving is done for business, that portion of the premium should be considered a business expense. This is a classic example of the kind of thing many notaries (especially newbies) don't consider when they set their fees. I'd think that any discussion related to business expenses would be appropriate for posting here. |
