You might want to try calling HP technical support. Maybe there was a glitch in the software they sent to you. If that update had anything to do with it, you'd think they would want to help you out without charging for their service. Who knows? Sounds awfully coincidental to me that your problems started right after trying to load the upgrade. Or maybe the file got corrupted somehow?
