l heard this same horrifying story from a nice couple refinancing to get away from Mr. Cooper, which had recently taken over their loan. The borrowers said they responded at the outset to some Mr. Cooper payment plan but then started getting letters they were late. They called, got it straightened out, but it kept happening. After only a few months a body camera-wearing security guy showed up at their property with foreclosure threats, taking video of them and property. They decided the only way to end this harassment was to get as far away as possible from Mr. C.
They were keeping their fingers crossed their loan didn't end up back with you know who.
