The bill states: "...a notarial certificate must specify whether the signer personally appeared before the Notary at the time of the notarization by physical presence or by means of audio-video communication technology."
And goes on to specify: "Requires a Notary to use a certificate in substantially the form provided in the new law..."
Unlike California, Florida does not require exact certificate wording, only that they must contain certain information. This bill and new law only adds another element to our certificates.
I do not think we will need to replace any current Florida compliant certificates but would only need to add a notation to confirm the signer's method of appearane, either by physical personal appearance or by audio/visual personal apperance.
