I am located in an area with a required shelter in place. Allowed to go out for emergencies like buying food only. From what the sheriff in my area has stated, mobile notary work or loans signing is not included in permitted emergency allowed activities.
Therefore, until Shelter in place order is lifted I am not accepting signings.
Be safe and sensible. Earning $100 or so is not worth potential exposure to COVID virus. It can live in cardboard for more than a day, so even if you stay 6 feet apart you are at risk because of virus potentially being on papers. Through window signings don't comply with California law, because notary book wouldn't be under your immediate control.
