Good question about the Singapore POA, but that may run into the same issues as the Deed itself. It surprises me that the title co is washing their hands of it, since they're the ones responsible for getting it recorded. The only other thing I can think of is to try to reach someone at the office of the County Recorder in the county where the property is located, since they're the ones who will decide what is acceptable.
RON refers to Remote Online Notarization. California notaries are prohibited from doing that but it's legal in several other stats. I agree that it may come with some potential legal challenges, but it's new enough that those haven't yet been tested anywhere I've heard about. |
