I'm still laughing...
I get a call at 8:15 pm asking if I can do a signing at 10 am tomorrow. I ask what type of signing, how many pages, etc. Caller tells me, "Uhhhh, it looks like it's just a deed. It pays $xxx.xxx." I tell him I'm hesitant to accept a last minute signing from a company I'm unfamiliar with near the end of the month. He assures me that they pay within a few days of the signing and they are "legit." He sends me the docs. The "deed" turns out to be a 197 page refi. Sent it back.
