I don't think it's a function of a region of the country, but has to do with the title/escrow company.

I get documents from title companies in multiple parts of the country for properties in lots of other states. The common denominator is the title co. Some seem to have lots of docs, and multiple ones they want notarized, regardless of where the property is located. Others just want the basics. I don't think this is an issue of geography (except for ones that address particular local issues for both lender and title). It's probably more a function of how many lawyers they have on staff... Wink
