CA - commission renewal timeline

This was my personal experience:

10/16/2021 - took notary exam
11/04/2021 - received letter advising I passed exam
11/12/2021 - procured required live scan for FBI & DOJ background check
12/14/2021 - receive new commission from Secretary of State
12/14/2021 - order new notary bond and E&O
12/14/2021 - receive new notary bond and E&O
12/17/2021 - file notary bond with county clerk
12/17/2021 - order new notary stamps

Notary commission renewal took a total of 2 months at a cost of $460.70. I am now ready to start using my new commission on 1/13/2022. <whew> I can relax for a few weeks. Just have to renew my annual BGC by 1/12/2022.
