Which is why I agree with the Dem's position of ignoring the paper cut by reopening the government first so that we can focus on the gunshot wound.
Our immigration system is broken - there's no question about that. Despite the political rhetoric, the Dems are NOT in favor of open borders; they want to find a reasonable solution. Intelligent people know that a wall is not the answer, and we're getting nowhere by arguing about whether or not we need one.
EVERYONE living here today, except for the native Americans we've treated so badly, is descended from immigrants. That includes our President and his xenophobic senior adviser, Stephen Miller. Immigration is literally what built this country - it's what made this country great. We don't need to make it great again, we just need to fix the things that aren't working right. |
