| This is a partisan enterprise. The objective is to have Mr. Trump shoulder the responsibility for the actions of the rioters. The two gentlemen, being Trump supporters would harm the process. I abhor rioting, since my hometown was subject to the arson which occurred last summer over Mr. Blake. Attacking the capitol, is a grave matter and should be condemned. The senate was actually bombed by radicals in 1983. There was an assassination conspiracy against Mr. Truman which was foiled. But these attacks don't seem to rise to the level of Jan. 6, either because of the political capital that can be garnered or the ignorance of the public over previous events. The repetition of this event is highly doubtful and other than security concerns will serve little purpose other than attacking and blaming the other side of the aisle. |
