You're aware that entering the country illegally is a misdemeanor and not a felony, right? If your goal is to make America safe, wouldn't it be more productive to focus on the felons first? Trump's not doing that - he's threatening to round up families which have done nothing other than contribute to their communities. He's doing that because they are low-hanging fruit

Rich. if they have a job, they pay both withholding and SS. In that sense, they are helping to pay for the meager services they receive in return - basically, if you get sick, you can go to an ER and they are required to treat you. If they own or rent a home, the taxes you pay help to support the services your children are receiving. What more do you want - blood?
And how is paying into a "phony SS account" with an employer matching the contributions anything approaching theft?? Who's getting that money? Certainly not the immigrant, and not the employer either - it's you and me and other retired folks who get a monthly check. The money they're paying into what you call a "fake SS account" goes into the same bucket that we all draw from every month, and they will never be able to do that unless they become citizens.
Donald Trump pledged during his 2016 campaign that he would go after violent illegal immigrants - he's not doing that, he's going after families and productive, respected members of their community. The bad guys are too hard to find, so to play to his base he goes after the good people.
