"If it exonerates you, you should be welcoming that review."
I agree with you completely - so why do you suppose he and his people are trying to shut down the review? The report clearly doesn't exonerate him of obstruction of justice. And now we have his lawyer essentially saying that Congress does not have a right to review his behavior in office unless that review is tied to legislation. This is crazy. What they're saying is that a sitting president can't be indicted for a crime, and only Congress can hold him accountable for his actions. At the same time, they're asserting that Congress cannot investigate him unless it's related to legislation.
Which means NO ONE in this country can hold the President accountable for what he does - he is above the law.
Is this a country YOU want to live in - one in which the leader can ignore the laws the rest of us have to follow?
"Maybe, just maybe there is some dirt on either Hillary and/or Obama, and he's saving it for future use?"
For what purpose? That ship has sailed, Rich - years of Benghazi investigations - 7 of them - with no result. The whole Hillary email nonsense with no result (and then it turns out that the Trumps were doing the same thing with a private email server). Give it a rest - all of that is meant as a distraction. |
