News remains what it has always been: A reasonably objective account of recent events. What has changed is the unflagging efforts of the alt-right to pass off deliberately incomplete, distorted, or even outright fallacious accounts as news.
Opinion is not news. Cherry-picked facts (or "facts") are not news. Lies are not news, unless the salient information is who is telling the lie. |
