No matter where you stand on the pro-life/pro-choice spectrum, you have to admit that some ideas in support of your position are not just unreasonable, but outright stupid.
The Ohio legislature is considering an anti-abortion bill that would, among other things, hold a doctor criminally responsible for murder if he or she did not reattach a fetus from an ectopic pregnancy to the womb.
That is not medically possible - it simply can't be done. And yet here again we have a bunch of old white guys who have no idea what they're talking about trying to regulate what a woman can or cannot do with her body. Why are they not trying to regulate what MEN can and cannot do with their bodies? Whatever happened to the Republican mantra of less government regulation? |
