Buttigieg, Klobuchar, and Steyer out the night BEFORE Super Tuesday (pissing off a lot of voters who voted early), and Bloomberg out the day after.
All of a sudden, the Democratic clown car becomes a relatively more comfortable sedan. We've got Biden, Bernie, Warren, and (for some bizarre reason), Tulsi Gabbard sitting in the trunk.
Warren will soon realize that she has no path to the nomination and will suspend her campaign. My guess is she will also endorse Biden - although she is a progressive, she is not a wild-eyed, spittle-flinging socialist like Bernie and will embrace the more moderate Biden.
The path from here for Bernie is not promising - the primaries start to go through the South, where he will get ZERO traction and support.
I don't know why Tulsi Gabard is still in the race. Some pundits are suggesting that she may decide to run as an independent - think Jill Stein in 2016 - but I don't think she has the same type of following that Stein had (other than the Russian connection).
Trump really wants to run against Bernie because Bernie can't win - that's why he has been tweeting constantly about how the primary is rigged against Bernie - but now it's starting to look like he'll have to run against Biden, which scares the heck out of him. Look for more stuff about Hunter Biden and Burisma, the same BS that got Trump impeached. His campaign will also be talking about Biden's "cognitive ability" while ignoring such Trump statements that windmills cause cancer, and you can stop a hurricane by dropping a nuke into it, or the 16,000+ lies he has told thus far in his first term.
Bottom line - put on your safety gear, there's incoming BS from Trump and the GOP. Believe nothing of what they tell you unless you can verify it yourself. |
