Re: Hey, Trumpeteers, that swamp . . .

So let me get this straight - Roger Stone should not go to jail because of COVID, and Paul Manafort should be released to home detention because of COVID, but it's safe to send the children back to school? Children are like Petri dishes - they catch and spread diseases all the time. Anyone who thinks we can safely open the schools is delusional.

There was a story today out of Houston - a child infected both of his parents with COVID-19. Both parents died. This is what's going to happen - the kids are going to get infected, and they'll bring the infection home.

And forget the Russian hoax thing that Trump keeps pushing. Stone lied to Congress and lied to the FBI in order to protect Trump. He asked for a jury trial and the jury found him guilty on seven felony counts. He actually said he didn't want a pardon, he wanted the sentence commuted so that he could continue to appeal, and suggested that was appropriate because he hadn't "turned" on Trump.

How do you turn on someone who hasn't done anything wrong? And isn't there an implicit threat in there that if you don't give me what I want, I WILL turn on you? Quid pro quo - he did something for Trump, so Trump is doing something for him. Corruption at the highest level - this is possibly the most corrupt administration in our history. Trump is not constrained by any law or morality; he thinks he's a monarch. Even after SCOTUS unanimously slapped down the idea that Trump has absolute immunity, his press secretary Barbie is still asserting that he does.
