"As for individual choice, people can only make good decisions when they have good information" It's a pandemic, everyone should know what they need to do and not be told constantly. Fauci and others were daily breifing. It's a choice though. I respectfully disagree with everything in front of that statement as well.
SARS has nothing to do with COVID 19. All the fast-tracking was put into place by Trump. A vaccine usually takes decades. His administration pumped billions into fast-tracking and working with other's around the world. Remember Cuomo asking and begging for ventilators? Trump made it happen and also brought him in a military hospital ship "Mercy" or "Comfort" (I forget, and 1 went to LA) on his request barely used. Trump has done a lot that has been overlooked. Ventilators from the USA are made here and being sold all over the world now as well. Other factories were converted into making them.
I think he has done a great job. Nothing Biden can or could do would be better. It's up to the Governors and mayors to keep tabs on their own states and cities and close down when it reaches that red line. It's not up to the president, it's up to us to use common sense. Something Americans have no concept of recently it seems.
My own opinion, nobody cares, we have given up and will take it as it comes as a society. I am seeing no masks at closings in most title office, none of the realtors, none in homes...only grocery stores and in public stores because you cannot get in without one. I think the fear is gone, people know of many more who got it and came out fine, and taking their chances now more than 6 months ago.
You are also correct. The last time I felt us come together as a nation was after 9-11...I have seen it since then.
