I do think he played a huge part in it...I think he put his gas on the fire. Was he to blame outright? Probably not. It's unfortunate that the media portrays all Republicans as morons, redneck, toothless, uneducated individuals that just want to use force and are not "good losers". That's not everybody, not even the majority. Trump is not stupid, and he should have taken his defeat gracefully whether he believed it or not, and moved on to 4 more years learning from his mistakes. He has a huge following, and most not like what is seen on TV.
It's a shame he didn't step in when it happened. He threw Pence under the bus...I don't agree with any of what went on and he did make history. Unfortunately, that last stance cost him a lot and his reputation for his presidency. jmo
