It does what it can to protect Democrats, even claiming something is "mixture (of true/false)" as they did in the link you provided. Although, if you read their "What's True" and "What's False" sections carefully on the linked page you can see the bias and the outright falsehood Snopes is using in an attempt to protect Gore. Snopes says that Gore did made such claims (i.e. 100% true), then they attempt to say that it wasn't really him, but that it was others which he "in some cases erroneously" had quoted regarding the claims. Really? He made the claims but misquoted some "others", so claims that he made the statements are considered "mixture"??
