Dems can't complain about it, they wanted this very chaos
Posted by Moneyman/TX of TX on 10/7/23 5:53am Msg #83093
"Now all bills stall, Ukraine won't get..."

McCarthy worked with the Democrats to avoid a government shutdown (i.e. kick the can down the road), which is why he was fighting for to keep his job. As a 'Thank You', 100% of the Democrats present (208) voted to kick him out of office. Only 8 Republicans voted to kick him out of office. This is a 100% Democratic Party made problem.

Any Democrat that dares to try to pull the, "this is what you get with Republicans in charge; chaos" political BS line, they should be confronted with the fact that but for 100% of them "sticking together" to vote him out, there wouldn't be the very chaos they are speaking of. If anyone interviewing any Democrat who tries such a line (and we all know there will be some that are already signed up to do it) and they do not immediately bring up the fact of how the Dems voted, they will only be showing their own bias as well as that they are not interested in the truth, only helping Democrats. Of course, most of the media are at a point where they are not even trying to pretend to be actual journalist.

Democrats proved that they are more interested in sticking it to, and embarrassing, the Republicans than actually getting things done for the country. It is a label they worked hard to have, as their leadership came out and told every one of them to vote to kick him out of office shortly after they knew it was coming up for a vote. I see no reason not to give them the label they worked to be saddled with. http://www.cbsnews.com/news/house-vote-mccarthy-speaker-roll-call-oust-democrats-republicans/

After that kind of 'Thank You', do the Democrats really believe the next Speaker is going to be * more * wiling to work with them on anything, or that they even deserve someone who would try to work with them?
